Reading labels carefully

I'm addicted to reading labels ever since I discovered that the regular black beans of one brand had less sodium than the reduced sodium big brand black beans. Recently, I discovered that organic chicken broth had less sodium than the reduced sodium version. Really, why so much sodium food manufacturers? I can salt to taste! I can't remove the salt you add (well I could add water but that just makes your stuff nasty). I also discovered that there is more than just chicken broth in chicken broth. It also has carrot/onion broth apparently as well. (at least the organic version I found).

Cooked up a very simple soup with this organic chicken broth, adding frozen package of vegetables meant for stewing, and one for frying into a pot and started it up on low heat. I sauteed some additional onions (2 cups) with butter until brown, added garlic paste, an then sauteed 2 chopped up pieces of chicken. After this was cooked, I added to the soup with a bunch of pepper.

Simple, but tasty.
